“A failure is not always a mistake, it may simply

be the best one can do under the circumstances.

The real mistake is to stop trying."

Executive Function Coach

Are you wondering if you or a loved one needs to be evaluated by a psychologist? Is your loved one falling apart at home and at school? Shutting down?

OR

Have you or your child already completed a Pscyho-educational Evaluation? Are you asking yourself, “Now What?”

Consulting

Do you have so much on your plate you don’t always know where to start? Is your loved one constantly forgetting what they are supposed to be doing? Can they complete multiple steps when asked or do you feel like you are always having to repeat yourself?

Executive Functioning

In the middle of a conversation do you find your mind wandering OR finding it difficult to wait for your turn to speak? Are you really “great” at multi-tasking but in reality you are letting things go and forgetting others. Are you always thinking about “What’s next?” How uncomfortable do you feel when you are not busy?

Mindfulness

How many times a week do you start a new “routine?” How often do you find yourself wishing you had more time? Does it feel like you are going into battle every time you ask your child to do their school work, a chore, or clean their room?

Study & Life Skills

Do you have any of these concerns?

Our world is hectic and busy with work, multiple schedules, school, life, and family. As a result we often find ourselves feeling stressed and overwhelmed with the demands of daily life, and so do our children. We are not born with the Executive Function Skills needed to help manage the challenges we experience throughout our lifetime...and these skills are not often learned at school. Instead, we are SUPPOSED to inherently know how to manage complex tasks: emotionally, rationally, and in a timely manner. If we do not learn these essential Executive Functioning Skills at an early age it can lead to learning gaps, frustration, and difficulties in managing day-to-day tasks. As an Executive Function Coach, my expertise lies in understanding how the brain works and using evidence-based strategies in helping you or your child learn the skills they need to set them up for success in school, at home, and beyond. I am NOT a TUTOR. I use your child’s educational history, learning style, self-awareness, environment, and “village” to create an individualized plan that will better support them and you in managing the challenges of daily life.

My goal is to support the development of key executive functioning skills:

About Me

  • Before becoming an Executive Function Coach and a Mom, I spent 10 years practicing as a Psychological Associate in North Carolina. During this time, I provided a wide variety of assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. I conducted clinical and social-emotional interviews and assessments, led parenting-skills classes and social-skills groups for children with AD/HD, Aspergers, and Autism. I worked in Early Intervention with a team of professionals at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist to provide services for children birth through 36 months of age with a developmental delay or disorder. Since becoming a full-time Mom, I have used these experiences along with evidence-based methods, procedures, or interventions to help my friends, my family, and my own children navigate the complexities of their individual education journey. Now that my children are older and don’t need me as much; I have decided to use my experience to help you. I am passionate about helping others learn, grow, and become their best self. Let me use my experience, knowledge, and passion, to focus on helping you and/or your child navigate your own individual education journey.
